Charlotte Slaymark
I am interested in the application of analytical chemistry to understand climate change and environmental response in terrestrial and marine systems. My background is in Environmental Chemistry (BSc) and Aquatic Systems (MSc), awarded from the University of Glasgow.
My PhD work focusses on using radiocarbon dating and organic geochemical proxies in lake sediments to understand climate change at the Pleistocene/Holocene transition in the United Kingdom. I am undertaking the PhD part time while working full time as an environmental biogeochemistry technician in the school.
